not sure what to do with the pile of fabric scraps stuffed in your craft bin? or, maybe you want to start a small collection of fabric but your not sure what you could possibly squeeze out of a fat quarter? try the cute number bean bags pictured above + below.
i made a bunch to use as photo props for g. dub’s monthly photo ops.
{tangent} we celebrated our fist month with the littlest on sunday. i know this is expected. i am after all his mum. but i just have to say that i’m completely head over heals for him…. he’s pretty fantastic. even at 3am. {end tangent}
pretty basic, but here is how i made them:
1/ print applique template {in this case it’s the fave number pattern from our shop}
2/ fold fabric in half, right sides together + trace mirror image onto the fabric using a fabric marker or colored pencil.
3/ cut along your trace marks and through both layers of fabric.
4/ sew around the shape, leaving an opening big enough to fill the number with batting, dry beans or bean bag filling.
5/ sew your opening closed and tada…. you’ve finished your project! keep them for playtime, use as a gift topper, put out for decoration…. etc.
now, we’re off to the park for play time and hopefully a snowcone! hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!
