food saturday {week 8}

we’ll start with a wild{tree} experiment!

….  enter cookie mix ….  the first thing that caught my attention was the 7 or so ingredients written on the box that were ALL easy to pronounce!  intrigued, i pulled a few other boxed staples from our pantry and checked out the ingredients.  while i expected the brownie and mac & cheese mix to be full of ingredients that sound more like they belong in a science project, i was shocked when i was unable to pronounce most of the ingredients in the breadcrumb mix.  who knew!?

moving on, and excited to try the cookies, i added butter, eggs & a half bag of chocolate chips to the mix {doesn’t the dough look delish?}, dropped on a cookie sheet, and baked for 10 minutes.

out came these gorgeous cookies!

that taste as good as they look.  all three kids gave the thumbs up and asked for seconds {and then thirds}.  i would certainly choose these cookies for an after school treat and felt a ton better about letting my precious kids indulge.

khristine is the lovely lady that introduced me to wildtree.  she got involved in the company because of her desire to be able to make delicious, nutritious and easy to prepare meals without breaking the banks.  she is also passionate about helping moms or individuals that want a healthier lifestyle.

you can read more about khristine & wildtree here join her facebook page here or email her directly with questions or a food allergies & gluten free product.

i highly recommend giving an item or two a try and my mom {jane}, who is by far the more organic conscious of the two of us, was really impressed whit wildtree and their products.

if you work with or have tried wildtree before, we would love to read your comments below!

NOW, onto our menu plan……

    i’m a newbie with wildtree and i absolutely LOVE it! my belief is that us mamas needs to stick together – so i, too, became a rep for wildtree. we can help make your life as a mommy SO much easier (kinda like rae!)! wildtree products and menu ideas can help you take the fuss out of supper time – and without all the nasty preservatives, additives, MSG and HFCS you find in so many grocery store brands. give it a try….

    I made the tomato soup tonite and it was very good…very tortilla soup in taste. No bread bowl but a dallop of sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese and we were good to go! Thx ladies!
