teacher gifts > note pad DIY

Just 14 days left before back to school which means, it’s CRUNCH TIME!  Unless of course you’ve already checked everything off your list.  In which case we should really hang out so you can rub off on me.

However, if like me, you are still working on your “to-do’s”, then I’m hoping we can help you scratch the teacher gift off your list with a DIY note pad tutorial:

as well as a video and printables on mom.me:

 ( C L I C K   T O   W A T C H  I would be so pumped if you watched and left a comment)

To make the note pad you will need:

STEP 1: Print the note pad download here, on 8 to 10 regular size printer paper.  Cut paper in half and in half again.  You should have 4.25 x 5.5 inch pieces.

STEP 2: Arrange papers so everything is lined up & arranged how you like.  Stack together, adding the piece of cardboard to the bottom (cut from a cereal box or the like) and press between two blocks or rulers so everything is flush.  Pinch between a c-clamp, (see picture below).  If using binder clips, keep reading…

STEP 3: Spread a layer of caulking over pinched end.  Pinch with binder clips if you aren’t using a c-clamp.  Let dry overnight.

STEP 4: Remove clamps, wrap up with a ribbon, and a couple cool pencils or pens.  We like to order
( t h e s e ) from oriental trading company.  So hyped they have neon this year.

Here is another note pad template you can download and use.

It’s been a lovely summer and we hope you enjoy and laugh a lot the last couple weeks!
