gift wrap inspiration.

GIFT WRAPPING IN YOUR FUTURE?  putting together the embellished {yet empty} packages below got me excited to wrap ours.  i planned on getting started last night, but sadly it remains on my to do list.  so, if you are like me and still have wrapping and trapping to do, i hope the images provide a little fun and inspiration to the process!

1.  FABRIC TASSEL + LIBRARY CARD TAG {free download found here}:  to make the tassel cut about a  7×10″ piece of fabric. fold long sides together. cut narrow slits in the fabric starting at the raw edge towards the fold leaving 1″ between the cut and the fold.  continue along the width of the fabric.  open up and roll tightly so there is fringe on either end.  fold in half and tie it off with a thin piece of fabric or other string.

2. STARBURST TAG {found here}: adorable by itself or add a little charm by taping strands of ribbon to the back and turning it into a first place ribbon {as pictured}.

3. FEATHER TAGS {found here} : feathers create a fun and whimsical look on top of a wrapped gift!  just print, cut + adorn.  also great for writing names on and tying to wine glasses at parties!  the download includes various color combos in 3 patterns.

4. FLAG TAGS {found here}: i printed, cut, then folded over twine.  flags look cute all by their lonesome + folded next to a bow, laying flat and taped down or in a group.  the download includes tons of colors in 3 patterns.

happy wrapping!

OK, I have to know — do you do ALL your gifts as cute as this or only a select few?!? I have been wrapping for 24 hours now and there is no way I have the patience or time to do that! Make me feel better and lie to me if you have to….

Ha! no, they all aren’t quite that detailed! i printed off the flag & starburst tags & the kids made some of their own creations. we also went a little light on gifts this year so that helps…. sounds like you are busy mama elf! peeked at your blog earlier – very fun! xo

In #2, is that ribbon or twill tape? I love it, can you share where you purchased it?

These are all so adorable! I love that there are so many printables found online for the holidays, it’s fun to make them! I love love wrapping with bakers twine, i’m slowly building my collection of colors, hehe.

These gifts are so cute! Did you just use the backside of the wrapping paper? I can see faint polka-dots in the wrapping. Just wondering, I think it looks great! Kind of subtly whimsical 🙂
