super shoppers.

with a little over 7 weeks left before my brood of 3 turns into 4, there is one thing that makes me panic….  the thought of running errands with them.  it’s already a bit of a challenge for me and i’m sure that adding a newborn to the mix will encourage our two boundary pushers to push a little more.  if you know what i mean?

so, i’ve been thinking of ways to keep them focused while out running errands.  i was having a bit of a brainstorming block until yesterday when i dropped espy off at preschool.  the 4 year old that usually clings to my leg, ran over to his teacher to find out what his “job” was for the day without even saying goodbye.

brilliant!  kids love having responsibility!

so, this morning i sat down and made some “super shopper stickers” and did a little test run with my most difficult shopper, tilly.

she picked a job sticker.

and we attached our shopping list & pencil to a clipboard.

then headed to target.

admittedly, one is different then two or more, but our errand went well and we both had a lot of fun.

if you would like to print some off to use for your outings, download by clicking on the image:

if you have any thoughts, ideas or games that work for you, PLEASE share!

have fun busy mamas!

I have to say that I’ve only been on your blog for ten minutes, and you’re already the mother of the century in my (not so humble) opinion!! ^_^ You have the most creative ideas (like this – a shopping job for the kiddos – BRILLIANCE!!), yummy looking recipes (which I will definitely be making for tomorrow’s dinner), and the patience of a saint (CONGRATS on your new baby!). You are my hero, and I pray that I am able to pull off my new blog as perfectly as you’ve done with yours. Well, I’m off to sign myself up as one of your followers. ^_^ Thank you again for all you do!!
