Last December we planned an ice cream party at
As a mom and designer, I’m a sucker for a good party. And by good I don’t mean so over the top that the party gets more attention then the guests or the guest of honor, the budget deserves a second take and the hostess has been pulling her hair out for weeks just hoping that everything comes together. Save that for weddings. All that’s really need is touches of personal charm, something delicious to eat and happy guests.
The ice cream took care of the delicious.
And when everything came together in a laid back fashion, even the hostesses….
….. and (at times) the miracle worker behind the camera….
… the guests…
… enjoyed themselves…
… and we were able to add our own style; like the bright pillows against white that I’m smitten over.
And other favorite decor we grabbed from home and added to a new space.
It was lovely and personal without taking our sanity.
If an ice cream party sounds fun to you, download an invite, gift bag tags, art print and food cards below.
the invites work great by themselves…
or, using a hole punch, string and wooden ice cream spoons (I found a big bag for a few dollars at our local craft store),
add a cute embellishment.
What is your take on parties?
